HAS International Sdn Bhd Continues Ramadan Tradition with RM18,000 in Community Contributions

HAS International distributed RM8,000 worth of Ramadan baskets, consisting of daily necessities such as rice, oil, and more, to 80 Asnaf families, providing essential food items for the holy month of Ramadan.

A donation of RM10,000 was made to Sekolah Rendah Islam Integrasi Tahfiz Miri to support the school's educational programmes and operational needs.

Miri, Malaysia - March 7, 2025 – HAS International Sdn Bhd today announced its third consecutive year of Ramadan charitable initiatives, committing RM18,000 to support local families and educational institutions in Miri. The company donated RM10,000 to Sekolah Rendah Islam Integrasi Tahfiz Miri (SRIITIZ) and distributed Ramadan baskets valued at RM8,000 to 80 Asnaf families. These initiatives reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational development and community welfare in Miri.

Distribution of Ramadan Baskets and Personal Visits to Asnaf Families

HAS International, in partnership with Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak, Miri distributed Ramadan baskets to 80 asnaf families during a special ceremony held on March 2nd. The initiative aimed to ease the burdens of underprivileged families during the holy month by providing essential food items and daily necessities.

Prior to the ceremony, HAS International and Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak, Miri made personal visits to three selected asnaf families. Among them was a family in Kampung Pulau Melayu, where a teenager—having just completed his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination—is caring for his three younger siblings while their father undergoes critical spinal cord treatment in Kuching, accompanied by their mother. Another visit was made to a single mother of seven daughters in Sungai Baong, one of whom is autistic, with the mother supporting her family by tailoring and selling kuih locally. The third family included a couple facing health challenges, with the husband unable to work beyond dishwashing due to ongoing complications.

Puan Marini binti Juraibi, Department Head of Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak di Miri, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Partnerships such as this one with HAS International reflect a consistent and meaningful commitment to uplifting the asnaf community. It is through collaborations like these that we can create a lasting impact, not just by providing material assistance but by fostering solidarity and care within our society.”

Donation to SRIITIZ to Support Education

The donation of RM 10,000 to Sekolah Rendah Islam Integrasi Tahfiz Miri, or SRIITIZ, will support the community-based school's ongoing educational and welfare initiatives. Located in Pantai Piasau Residence, Kampung Pulau Melayu, the school provides both academic and spiritual programs for children aged seven to twelve, leveraging local educators to serve families in the Miri area.

The visit to SRIITIZ took place on March 7, 2025, where HAS International representatives presented the contribution and engaged with school administrators, educators, and students. The funds will directly benefit the school's ability to maintain its programs and support its mission of providing integrated Islamic education to children in the region.
