Miri Helibase, 16 July 2026 — HAS International Sdn. Bhd. ("HAS") today celebrated the recognition of 18 pilots by Airbus Helicopters for achieving significant 500, 1,000 and 1,500 flight hour milestones on the Airbus H175 during the company's Safety Week 2026.

The achievement comes just over three years after HAS commenced H175 operations in Sarawak, where the company provides offshore crew transportation and emergency medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) services to PETRONAS Carigali, Shell Malaysia, TotalEnergies, Mubadala Energy, ENEOS, PTTEP and SK Earthon across one of Malaysia's busiest offshore oil and gas regions.

The awards recognise far more than individual flying experience. They reflect the operational maturity that HAS has built in supporting one of Malaysia's most demanding offshore environments, where flight crews and technical teams operate across multiple offshore assets while consistently meeting the stringent operational standards. This capability is sustained through rigorous pilot training, disciplined maintenance programmes and a strong organisational safety culture.

Our operating environment demands far more than flying hours. Every day, our teams operate in one of Malaysia's busiest oil and gas region, supporting seven world-class energy companies, all of which retains high standards of operational expectations, assurance standards and safety requirements. Delivering consistently across that landscape requires highly competent people, rigorous training, disciplined maintenance and a safety culture that cannot be compromised." said Hasery Bakar, Managing Director of HAS International Sdn. Bhd.
This recognition by Airbus is therefore a testament not only to the experience accumulated by our pilots, but also to the strength of the system that supports them — from our engineers and technicians to our operations, safety and support teams. It demonstrates the specialised capabilities that we have developed here in Sarawak and our contribution towards strengthening the State's aviation capabilities in support of its aspiration to build a globally competitive aerospace ecosystem and a resilient, future-ready energy economy."

Since pioneering the Airbus H175 operations in Malaysia in 2023, HAS has established one of the region's most experienced H175 pilot communities. As the pioneer operator of the state-of-the-art Airbus H175 supporting offshore oil and gas activities in the South Asian region, the company continues to invest in developing highly competent offshore helicopter professionals while maintaining the operational standards expected by some of the world's leading energy companies.

Airbus is proud to recognise the achievements of HAS’ pilots in reaching these important H175 flight hour milestones," said Axel de Pascal, Managing Director, Airbus Helicopters Malaysia.
These accomplishments reflect the high standards of professionalism, operational discipline and safety demonstrated by HAS in supporting offshore helicopter missions. We are pleased to celebrate this milestone together and look forward to our continued partnership in advancing offshore helicopter excellence

The awards were presented during HAS Safety Week 2026, held from 14 to 17 July under the theme "Respond Right, Learn Always." The programme brought together employees, clients, regulators and industry partners to reinforce safety leadership, continuous learning and the sharing of best practices across the offshore helicopter sector.

Safety is not simply one of our priorities—it is the foundation of how we operate," added Hasery.
Regardless of the pace or complexity of our operations, our commitment to protecting our people, serving our clients safely and continuously improving will always remain unchanged. That commitment is what gives our clients the confidence to entrust us with every mission.

Puan Marini binti Juraibi, Department Head of Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak di Miri, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Partnerships such as this one with HAS International reflect a consistent and meaningful commitment to uplifting the asnaf community. It is through collaborations like these that we can create a lasting impact, not just by providing material assistance but by fostering solidarity and care within our society.”

Donation to SRIITIZ to Support Education

The donation of RM 10,000 to Sekolah Rendah Islam Integrasi Tahfiz Miri, or SRIITIZ, will support the community-based school's ongoing educational and welfare initiatives. Located in Pantai Piasau Residence, Kampung Pulau Melayu, the school provides both academic and spiritual programs for children aged seven to twelve, leveraging local educators to serve families in the Miri area.

The visit to SRIITIZ took place on March 7, 2025, where HAS International representatives presented the contribution and engaged with school administrators, educators, and students. The funds will directly benefit the school's ability to maintain its programs and support its mission of providing integrated Islamic education to children in the region.

Through these initiatives, HAS International continues to strengthen its relationship with the Miri community and reaffirm its commitment to supporting vulnerable families and educational institutions during significant cultural and religious celebrations.
